What We Believe

We believe the Bible is the inspired Word of God, and its central message is the Good News that there is forgiveness for sin and eternal salvation through Jesus Christ alone. We believe in the power of God's Word (the Bible) and His sacraments (Holy Baptism and the Lord's Supper) to save, heal, forgive, nurture and mature the minds and souls of all who believe in Jesus Christ. We also believe the Bible prepares and teaches us how to live a life pleasing to God and is the only source, norm and guide for Christian beliefs. Lutheran teachings and beliefs are described in the Book of Concord, the confessional writings of the Lutheran church.  We believe worship is the core of the Christian community, where God promises to meet us and equip us for life and loving others like Jesus.
