Updated Coronavirus Response-as of 6/08/2021:

Masks: As per CDC and NYS Guidelines, individuals who have been fully vaccinated against COVID 19 according to the requirements of their particular vaccine (1 or 2 shots) and are 2 weeks post their final shot according to the particular vaccine are no longer required to wear masks at St. Mark. Individuals who are unvaccinated or are not fully vaccinated are required to wear masks covering their nose, mouth, and chin.

Social distancing: Every other pew in the sanctuary will remain roped off. Available seating in the fellowship hall will also reflect the 6 foot social distancing.

  •  Fully vaccinated individuals may sit with non-family members at their own discretion and when the seating arrangement does not impose on others previously seated in the pew.
  • Unvaccinated or not-fully vaccinated individuals must follow the social distancing requirement of maintaining a 6 foot distance from non-family members.

There are no other changes to current practice at this time. The evolving COVID 19 guidelines will continue to be monitored and future changes to practice will be announced when they are put into effect.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS:

Is the church open for in-peron worship?  Yes, we welcome you to worship this Sunday at 9am.  All services are also live-streamed on Facebook: https://facebook.com/stmarkmendon. You'll also find previous weeks' services on the green column on the right side of home page of this site.  In the interest of member & guest health and safety, there are currently no other on-site activities other than worship; however, bible study, Ladies' Aid and other meetings are all hosted virtually on Zoom. For links, please contact our church secretary and specify for which group or event you'd like a link:  secretary@stmarkmendon.org

Is the building safe?  In addition to requiring masks, we offer hand santizer and practice social distancing as per federal and state guidelines.  Every week our custodian disinfects hard surfaces such as door handles, stairway rails and pews.  Bathrooms likewise are disinfected.

Is there a touch-free option?  Our hymnals have been removed from the church in favor of print copies of the service with hymns & announcements; however, if you prefer touch-free, a QR code in the lobby allows you to download the service to your smartphone or tablet.  Documents are also sent out by email each week; please contact the church office to be added to the list.  Holy Communion is celebrated each week; worshipers may pick up a prefilled, sealed communion cup and wafer on the way into church. A small bag is provided for disposal.
